Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 2026

dungeon.club is the membership program run by Dungeon Books (Script Wizards LLC) ("we", "us", "our"). These terms cover your membership account, your points and XP, and any paid tier you subscribe to. Buying books from us, in the shop or at dungeonbooks.com, is covered by the shop's own terms and conditions instead.

1. Your Account

You need an account to take part. Give us accurate information when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has gotten into your account. One account per person. We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if it is being used to abuse the program, and we will tell you why when we do.

You must be at least 13 to hold an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms on your behalf.

You can close your account at any time by emailing us. Closing it ends any paid subscription at the end of the period you have already paid for, and gives up any unspent points.

2. Linking Your Purchases

When you verify your email address, we look for a customer record at our point of sale with the same address. If we find one, the purchases on it are added to your account as points and XP. This is why signing up with the email you use at checkout matters, and why an account created with a different address will start empty.

Purchases made after that are added automatically when you pay with an account our point of sale recognizes as yours.

3. Membership Tiers and Billing

Membership is free. Paid tiers are optional upgrades billed monthly through Stripe, and they renew automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. The price and what each tier includes are shown when you subscribe and on the tiers page.

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Canceling stops the next charge; it does not refund the month you are in, and your tier benefits run until the end of that period. We do not give partial refunds for unused time. If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, drop your account back to the free tier.

We may change tier prices or what a tier includes. If we do, we will tell subscribers by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then if you would rather not continue.

4. Points and XP

You earn points by spending money with us, at a base rate of one point per cent spent, multiplied by your tier. You earn XP the same way, and also from checking in, completing quests, and taking part in events. XP determines your level. Points are the currency you spend on rewards.

  • Points do not expire. There is no inactivity clock and nothing you have earned is taken away for not visiting.
  • Points and XP have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred to another member, or exchanged for money, and they are not property.
  • Points from a purchase are held for 7 days before they can be spent, so that refunds settle before they are redeemed.
  • If a purchase is refunded, the points and XP it earned are reversed.
  • Canceling a paid tier does not take away points or XP you have already earned. Your earn rate goes back to the free rate from then on.
  • Your tier multiplier applies to what you earn from spending. XP from quests, events and check-ins is the same for everyone regardless of tier.

If we close the program, we will give at least 60 days' notice so you can spend what you have.

5. Rewards and Redemptions

Rewards are listed in the app with their cost in points. Some are limited in number and some are only available on paid tiers. Redeeming a reward spends the points immediately; we then fulfill it in the shop or online depending on what it is.

We may add, change, or withdraw rewards, and we may change what something costs. A reward you have already redeemed is honored at the price you paid. If we cannot fulfill something you have redeemed, we will put the points back.

6. Check-ins, Quests and Events

You can check in when you visit, using the kiosk in the shop, a membership card, or your phone number. Check-ins earn XP and sometimes activate a temporary bonus. Only one check-in counts per visit.

Quests are optional challenges that award XP. Some need evidence and a review by staff before they count, and we decide whether a submission qualifies. Event attendance is recorded through our ticketing system when you check in at the door.

Do not check in when you are not there, submit quest evidence that is not yours, or use multiple accounts to earn more. Any of those can cost you the points and XP involved and, if it keeps happening, your account.

7. Being Seen by Other Members

Parts of the program are social. The leaderboard in the app, and the screen on the kiosk in the shop, can show member names alongside levels and XP. You control whether your name appears there from your settings. Turning it off leaves your position on the board but takes your name off it.

8. Changes to the Program

This is a small shop running something we built ourselves, and it will keep changing. We may adjust earn rates, levels, quests, rewards, and how the whole thing works. We will not do it retroactively: XP and points already in your account stay there.

9. Intellectual Property

The app, its text, graphics and logos are the property of Dungeon Books (Script Wizards LLC) or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Things you submit as quest evidence remain yours; by submitting them you let us store them, review them, and show them back to you in the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dungeon Books (Script Wizards LLC) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of dungeon.club. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

The program is provided as is. We try to keep it running and to keep your balances right, but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. If a mistake on our side costs you points or XP, tell us and we will fix it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date, and we will email members about anything significant. Carrying on using your membership after a change means you accept it.
